Cellar
Borgogno Serio e Battista
The origin of the winery is due to Cavalier Francesco Baltz, who in the mid-1800s started the production and sale of wine. The cellar, at the time placed in the centre of Barolo, was inherited by Lodovico Borgogno, grandson of the Cavaliere: he passed to his children Battista and Serio his own passion for the wine and the territory, giving them a small farmhouse in Cannubi. The two moved there the headquarters of the cellar, seizing the potential of the Barolo wine and of the specific crù. The cellar, which since 1897 is set on the top of the Cannubi hill, is led today by Anna and Paola Borgogno, Marco Bolla and the fifth generation Federica and Emanuela.
