Ceretto

In the ’30s Riccardo Ceretto, from Valdivilla (hamlet of Santo Stefano Belbo) established the Ceretto Casa Vinicola in Alba. In the ’60s Bruno e Marcello, sons of Riccardo, selected and purchased vineyards in the most sought after locations in the Langhe and Roero. In the ’70s the first estate-owned vineyard in Bricco Asili was purchased (Barbaresco – 1969). Bricco Asili was the first winery built by Bruno and Marcello Ceretto, in 1973. The idea was to create a place dedicated to vinification and ageing, building it precisely in the place where the grapes come froml. Currently, grapes from two exceptional climat are processed,: Bernadot from Treiso and Asili from Barbaresco. In 1999 the children of Bruno and Marcello joined the company: Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico. The headquarters of the Ceretto Companies is at the Monsordo Bernardina estate in Alba.
