Marchesi di Barolo

Founded in the 19th century, the Cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo are located in Barolo, in the building overlooking the Castle of the Marchesi Falletti. The historic cellars were taken over by Pietro Abbona at the end of the nineteenth century and remain the property of the family until today. The choice of the Abbona family is to be faithful interpreter of the diversity of the places and the native vines, strictly preserving the typicality due to the composition of the soils in the lower Piedmont.
In 2016 Marchesi di Barolo acquired Cascina Bruciata, a small company located in the Rio Sordo in Barbaresco that had been operating since 1880, and whose full autonomy and identity was maintained.

Total annual production: 1.400.000 bottles
Barbaresco annual production: 70.000 bottles
