La Bioca

La Biòca is a small winery in the Langhe zone. The word “biòca” comes from the Piedmont’s dialect and is used to describe a decisive person often with a “tough head”. The vineyards are situated in the villages of Monforte d’Alba and the winery is located in Fontanafredda subzone of Serralunga d’Alba. The range of wines includes traditional wines of the Langhe, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Arneis and Muscat. The selections include wines made of rare autochthonous varieties (such as Favorita, Freisa or Pelaverga) or from old vineyards (Barbera d’Alba Superiore, Barolo Riserva), as well as several Crus of Barolo and Barbaresco.
