The winery was founded in 1914, when Lino Icardi started a small wine production in the municipality of Castiglione Tinella, intended for simple family consumption. A few years later, in 1920, the company obtained a license for the production of wine. Since the 1960s, with the entrance to the cellar of the Cav. Pierino Icardi, the direct sale of wine begins, made only with grapes derived by owned vineyards. Today the company is run by Pierino’s sons: Claudio, winemaker, and Mariagrazia, commercial manager, in turn supported by their own children. The estate has 65 hectares of land, 50 of which are cultivated with grapes and 15 woodland. The philosophy of the winery involves a completely organic management of the vineyards.
